Pillbox Alley, 2011-17

These photographs have been made as a continuation of a past project in which I looked at how Pillboxes sit within the landscape. These odd structures were erected in order to defend the industrial heart of England from an expected invasion of Axis forces that of course never happened. This new series will present pillboxes as a part of the scenery, a part of the everyday, and a part of the landscape we live with.
